There are six HERITAGE fragrances so far. We would like the seventh to be yours.

Every HERITAGE fragrance begins with one English memory, held precisely: a paddock at first light, a library after dinner, a tack room the night before the meet. We begin with the memory and work backwards, removing anything that does not belong to it.

Tell us a place and an hour you have never forgotten, and what it smelled like. The more precise, the better: not “the seaside”, but the beach hut at Walberswick, wet wool, a paraffin stove and the tide going out. We read every one, and by 31 March 2027 we will choose one to become the seventh HERITAGE fragrance. Its writer receives the first bottle, with their name on its card if they wish.

We use your email only to confirm your memory arrived and, if it is chosen, to write to you. Nothing else, and every email has a link to remove it.

Terms
  1. Free to enter, and no purchase is needed. Open to UK residents aged 18 or over, except the HERITAGE team and their families.
  2. Send your memory through this page by 23:59 on 31 January 2027. Up to 3 memories each.
  3. We will choose one memory by 31 March 2027, for how well it could be made into a fragrance, and write to the person who sent it. If we cannot reach them within 28 days, we will choose another.
  4. The prize: a 50 ml bottle of any HERITAGE fragrance in the collection, and the first bottle of the fragrance your memory becomes when it is made, with your name on its card if you wish. There is no cash alternative.
  5. By sending a memory you confirm that it is your own, and you allow HERITAGE to use and adapt it, free of charge, to create, name and describe a fragrance. We will never publish your words or your name without asking you first.
