Our story
The House
An English house, in the old sense of the word.
HERITAGE began with a simple conviction: that the finest things are rarely the loudest. The best-dressed man in the room is seldom the one you notice first; the most beautiful house on the lane is usually the one with the plainest gate.
We wanted to make fragrance in that spirit. Not a statement, not a signature that enters the room before you do, but something closer to good tailoring: noticed only by those who stand near enough, and remembered long after.
A note from the founder
Every idea in HERITAGE begins with my mother. She is where all of this comes from.
We walk together often, through old oak woods in the English countryside, and there is a feeling in those woods that I have tried to put into every bottle. The light comes down through leaves on trees that were already old before any of us were born. The ground is soft underfoot, the air smells of moss and bark and last year’s leaves, and nobody is in a hurry. Oaks are how England has always measured its wealth: slowly, in centuries, planted by people who knew they would never sit in their shade.
Walking there with her, I feel two things at once. Pride in what has been kept, and hope for everything still to come. HERITAGE is made in that spirit: for her, and for whatever comes next.

A single memory
Each HERITAGE fragrance is composed around one English memory, held precisely. A library after dinner. The river on the first morning of the regatta. A tack room the night before the meet. We begin with the memory and work backwards, removing anything that does not belong to it, until what remains could belong nowhere else.
We make fragrance the way a good tailor makes a coat: slowly, from the finest cloth, and without a logo that demands to be looked at.
How we work
We choose each composition slowly and in small batches, and we keep an honest account of what is in it: natural materials where they are genuinely better, modern ones where they are finer, more stable or kinder to the world.
Every bottle is inspected before it is wrapped in our green box and sent directly to you.
A young house
We are a young house with old manners. We do not hold sales, we do not send more than four letters a year, and when you write to us, a real person writes back.
